Allan's Blog

24th April 2015

Another busy month getting ready for Salute and the shows coming up in May and answering all your e mails regarding the future ranges and the club registry, thanks for the info and help.

To fill you all in the future ranges, people seem most interested in the WW1 Middle East and the Napoleon in Egypt, we are making no decisions until the end of May but in the meantime I am getting the designer started on a couple of codes from the 3 ranges to wet your appetite.

As for the club registry we will hopefully have completed our gathering info by the end of May ish and then we will be doing the mail out to show our club offer.

In the next month we have a new release, a little surprise hopefully for the middle of June, we have a designer slaving away a the moment and if all is well there will be pictures available just after triples of the masters, so watch this space.

On a slightly different note this is an appeal for help, not for me but for a little girl called Olivia. As some of you may know I have been fostering for the past 27 years, it has been and always will be a great joy looking after children and I have maintained contact with many of these children and regard them as my extended family, I also adopted one of these children Reece who you will see at the shows sometimes. Anyway a sweet little girl called Amber who I fostered, who I love so dearly has returned to her family and through contact I met a little girl called Olivia, soon to be Ambers step sister.

Olivia is a bright little girl funny, clever but she has a problem, she has Cerebral Palsy, there is an operation that can help her walk and give this little girl a chance of more independence and a greater opportunity to do more, unfortunately our National Health Service will not fund this operation, they would rather leave this young girl to struggle and need special support for the rest of her life, and in the meantime fund stupid ugly models having boob jobs, or vain idiots getting nose jobs or healing the self inflicted alcoholics of this world or people who want gender changes. So the young parents of Olivia have the problem of raising the money for this operation and the physiotherapy after and have started to raise money. I know there are thousands of  causes and people who need help, but we cannot help everyone we can only help whop we can so I'm asking you to please help with a small donation this little girl and give her a future  that we all take for granted and then pass on to friends and family or through social media this link and make this beautiful funny little girl a happy funny little girl, as I said we cant help everyone so please help the one you can OLIVIA

I hope some of you can help and will be willing to pass on this request to everyone you know and help this little girl

10th March 2015

Its been many months since my last blog, work etc. got in the way, but back and regular updates etc. will follow, we have just been to the WMMMs in Aldersley ( Wolverhampton), apart from a few hiccups, but the show was better than last year, we carried more of our 28mm stock inc the Marlburian range - we are just going to add a Mounted Dragoon in the next few days, and our next WW1 Eastern Front the Russians and Serbs are out at the end of the week, with the Austrian and Montenegrins for Salute.

As we are now facing the question of what range to do next so we will be putting up on the site a list of the prospective ranges we would like to produce and again we will offer the 25% discount for pre orders to anyone interested, so watch out and have your say, and one of the ranges will be done first

On to other figures we, along with S & A Scenics have launched our new 10mm figure company Little Wars Miniatures, our Beau Geste range, soon to be followed by Pony Wars then possibly Revolutionary Wars - Napoleon in Egypt but we are still mulling this over. Go to the site and few the figures www.littlewarsminiatures.co.uk

Once again getting back into dong more I have just started painting my 28mm Carthaginian army , already I have painted 4 African Heavy Infantry units for the army and have just started the Celt allies, the army will consist of the usual troops types Spanish Scutari(4), Spanish Caetratii 2), Celt War band(4)African Light Infantry (1) these along with the African infantry and the cavalry will make up the 26 units of the army, then there is the republican Roman to do so  a nice project top keep me busy I will post pictures when the units are complete, I will put the African units up on Thursday. I'm looking forward to playing with the armies, I hope you will enjoy seeing it develop hen seeing the games, but like most gamers wondering what next possibly Early Germans, or Dacian?

Finally I would like to thank all our customers for the support, it is appreciated

21st July 2014

Its been a very busy few months we have lots of figures on the go and our sale has just come to an end. Thanks for the support and the ideas you passed on for additions we will be working on those soon.

First I must apologies for the delay in the 15mm Sikh wars the designer Martin has had a very serious accident and complications have led to operations and he is now in intensive care - I would like to wish him all the best in as quick a recovery as can be achieved and I'm sure you would wish him the same. To complete the range we have another designer working flat out to finish the bits and bobs in the next 2-3 weeks so please bear with us, there are only a handful of masters to complete in the coming weeks.

On happier news we have started work on our 15mm WW1 range part of a larger range spanning the conflict, your reaction has been great and I must admit the figures are better in the flesh so to speak, my photos don't do them justice. But the response has been so good that I am completing the second release lists and work plan for the Russian, Austrian and Serbians for the end of the year. Thanks to all those who have taken up the special pre release offer its great value, hopefully to show we do appreciate the support that you are giving us.

Over the next few months I'm hoping to have some very interesting releases for you a foray into 10mm on a bigger scale with a new company concentrating on 10mm with a first release of Foreign Legion and Arabs, in conjunction with another company we are hoping to offer a Sahara fort and adobe village, and there are more releases planned watch out for the mail shot and on TMP for the first greens going up soon.

So watch this space for big things in the next few months and hopefully we will have lots to tempt so any suggestions for expanding the ranges or adding enemies etc. let us know, I already know you want Montenegro troops  for WW1, will do our best ......
